Who already follows me on Instagram, knows that last week i was on Paris, and visited most beautiful caffe in town ” Cafe La Perle”
The Pearl has a crazy soul, 100% Parisian and full of good waves. Vintage decoration of the 70s on the walls, works of art hidden in all the corners, boys of coffee there for years: it is the nugget of the Marais, which does not pay a mine of the exterior when one does not Has not yet known but which then gives always desire to return, like a ritual that does good. Impossible to imagine that the kitchens are run by a chef passed by the Ritz, L’Arpège and the George V, and yet Christophe Rousseau serves a brunch of chef worthy of the palaces everyday.
Love for the toast (made with a crème brûlée appliance which makes it vanilla-caramelized-irresistible / it is for me the best bread lost in the capital), but also scrambled eggs organic bacon or smoked salmon, toast Avocado with Espelette pepper and juices bios pressed.
Oh yes, Café la Perle also hides the craziest room in the world: the Kiss Room with a thousand mirrors.
La Perle is a serious fashionista hangout for people who like to be looked at. The decor is along typical Paris café-bar lines, not really anything to write home about, but it’s the crowd that makes this place what it is. They’re young, impeccably (and inventively) groomed, and highly likely to have one eye on the mirror this is Facehunter territory and it shows. It can get quite smoky and sweaty inside and the rumour they laced the beer with absinthe was just a rumour, but none of this dents its scenester appeal. It won’t be for everyone but if you want to run with the city’s fashion pack, this is the place to be.
